The change of government in Mexico in 2018 has inaugurated a juncture marked by the horizon of the construction of a new hegemony. This would replace that of the administrations orthodoxly adhering to the neoliberal creed and is based on the leadership of Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Under the label of the "Fourth Transformation" or 4T, the possibilities of such a process occurring are analyzed, based on notions such as leadership, the national-popular and the formation of a new common sense. The text explores the historical logic of the construction of this hegemony, as well as the conditions of the conjuncture.
